Safety Resource Centre
The Safety Resource Centre specialises in Workplace Health and Safety. As well as providing up-to-date relevant advice, the aim of the Safety Resource Centre is to provide pragmatic, professional and commercial solutions, tailored to the specific needs of the workplace.
There are many reasons why employers should be concerned about the Health and Safety in the workplace. Businesses have a legal responsibility for the safety of its employees and others. Under New South Wales legislation, for example, a company can be fined $825,000 for a single offence under the Workplace Health and Safety Act, while a similar offence in Queensland attracts up to a $750,000 penalty.
Staying abreast of safety legislation can be a challenge, with each State having its own legislation, numerous applicable Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and Advisory Standards.
The Safety Resource Centre delivers targeted interventions, providing a structured approach to safety in the workplace and ensuring legal obligations are met for workplace health and safety.
